Loktak Basin Eco-System: Observation Of World Environment Day
As a part of Loktak Basin Eco – System ( Save Loktak Lake), We have observed World Environment Day at Thinungei Community hall with ALLAFUM and Loktak Fisherman Union, Thinungei on 5th June 2019. 86 participants were attained in the observation from inside and outside the lake. Ishok village was one of the hundreds of villages affected by construction of Ithai barrage at the confluence of the Manipur River, the Khuga River and the Ungamel channel in 1983, near Ithai village in Bishnupur. PRDA runs a ‘People credit and thrift project’ (PCTP).
