The project is being implemented by People’s Resource Development Association(PRDA) in collaboration with RNBA Langol, Imphal in 16 Villages each in Bishnupur, Imphal West & Churachandpur District, Manipur and sponsored by EED-Bonn, Germany.
Main activities:
- Appropriate Natural Resource Management.
- Livelihoods Interventions.
- Research Advocacy and networking for Resource Rights and Informed actions.
- Community Mobilisation and Organization.
Ishok village was one of the hundreds of villages affected by construction of Ithai barrage at the confluence of the Manipur River, the Khuga River and the Ungamel channel in 1983, near Ithai village in Bishnupur. PRDA runs a ‘People credit and thrift project’ (PCTP).
